CW-X conditioning tights and shorts

Just read an article in Road Bike Rider about a company called CW-X that makes cycling shorts and tights that use Lycra to support specific muscle groups. This support is supposed to reduce fatigue and potential injuries, specifically quads, hamstrings and knees. Has anyone tried this product? If so, what do you think of it?

I own some and they do help…Although more noticeable when running compared to biking.

On long runs legs are less fatigued.

Worth buying…Yes.

They do seem to add some support and dampen muscle vibrations while running. But of the four pair of CW-X tights that I swim and run in, two are showing serious sings of wear and tear way too soon.

Do you have the “Pro” or the less-expensive “Conditioning/Expert” ones?

Thank you King1 and Frank 13 for your responses. Trifolk, I have not purchased this product yet. Which style have you tried?

I have the tights as well and noticed no improvement. I think for $90 its a total waste.

Worth buying = NO

Are you supposed to swim in them? I’d guess the chlorine is probably what’s causing them to break down prematurely.

Old news. Every major cycling clothing manufacturer will bring up this point if you ask them in enough detail. You wouldn’t believe it if I told you, but every one of the reps claims theirs are the best!

I haven’t…if the reviews were very good, I was thinking of buying them. Seems there is an $80 one and a $95 one. Just wondering what the ones that were reviewed as beneficial were.
