Custom TT Helmet

New TT helmet for 2012 featuring Wattie Ink and 101 Pipe

Painted by Airtix…same guy that did Crowies Road ID Helmet. Speaking of that, Crowie and Julie Dibens both had helmets there that were just being prepped to be painted…so they are going to be sporting some awesome lids this year.

Hope you guys approve…really tough to get the brilliance to come across in photos.

That is one of the raddest helmets I have seen. Very well done!

Very nice.

Did the family business spring for the lid? Does Dad or you control the marketing dollars? Tax deductible custom advertising? However you pulled this off, I like your style.

Except that the faster you get… the more blurry your marketing becomes (at least from street view). Good luck!

Yes, 101 Pipe is one of my “sponsors”…I’m partners with Pop in the family Biz.

Basically 101 Pipe pays NNI Racing for advertising and marketing…and, of course, I own NNI Racing.

That funds 80-90% of my triathlon efforts.

Awesome! That lid rocks!

really tough to get the brilliance to come across in photos.

I dunno, I think the photos do a pretty good job. That thing is sa-weet!

…

gotta say that is one of the best looking custom paint jobs i’ve ever seen. i’m not usually a fan of chrome finishes, but it looks AMAZING!

If those photos don’t do it justice, then it is even sa-weeter. Nicely done.

That’s the second coolest headgear at your company.
Dennis Fookes is rocking the pimp hat.

Stunning helmet. Got a link for the helmet painter?

In a good way, your helmet and the color remind me a little of this friendly guy:

Sorry to resurrect an old thread but have you had any issues with the paint cracking? How is the general wear and tear on a plastic helmet?

No issues.

I will say that I also had a tt3 done as well and the painter did have a problem on the first go around with the paint becoming really wavy and he had to repaint it. We *think it was a heat issue when the paint was drying. He repainted and I’ve had no issues.

I obviously only use them for racing and take pretty good care of them

Cool - thanks. Ive flicked them and email to see if they can help me out
