Custom TT frames

Who makes them? Parlee, Guru, who else? Aero tubing, custom geo…

Tiemeyer. He made the track frames for the Olympic teams. Not flashy but good

Rob English!!!

Take a look at his custom TT bike and you’ll be sold immediately. The thing is amazing … the definition of elegant simplicity!

And he’s gone ~51 minutes/40k on it. He has a job, designs and builds more bikes on the side, and still has time to pedal enough miles to do that.

This one?

He rode it with a HED Stinger Disc and HED Stringer 9 front (tubular) at the Oregon State TT championships, but otherwise, yes.

That thing is sex on wheels!!!

Very few folks need a custom TT bike. Sadly some who just seem to WANT one might get less bike than if they had bought a less expensive stock one. Plus custom is very broad term.

Kind of like TALL. To someone 4 feet tall a 4’5" person must appear very tall.

Trying to help a friend who is 5’8" with a 33" inseam. She has super long legs and a VERY short torso. So far when we find bikes that a reach that’s appropriate the stack is way too low. If we find a stack that can work, the reach is miles too long.

use short stems and either lots of spacers or an aerobar setup that lets you add lots of stack.

My wife has like a 70mm stem on her 56 p2, handles fine. Don’t be afraid to adjust reach with a short stem.

Don’t be afraid to adjust stack within tolerances with spacers. You go up 4cm with the 3t and cervelo forks. Others are similar.

vision aerobars will let you get another cm or 2 on top of that with their spacers.

Old style Vision base bar and Syntace P2 clip ons with a few riser kits stacked up, that should solve that particular problem. You will need non-stock bolts if you are stacking the riser kits.
