I recently had a new suit made from Kiwami and was really impressed by it. The model I decided to get was the Amphibian Prima. One thing that was really great was that I could just order one and there wasn’t some massive price increase. A lot of companies you have to get a bunch for the price to be reasonable, but Kiwami does single suits for a very reasonable price.
They responded to my inquiry the day after I had asked them, and they had actually gotten me a design the day that I sent them the logos that I wanted on the suit. Within two days the suit was made and had been sent out, so I had it in about a week from the start of the process which is incredibly fast.
The suit itself only weighs 100 grams- lightest on the market. The material is really nice. I can run it under the sink faucet and the water actually bounces off and I pull the suit away and it is completely dry. With it being that hydrophobic it should glide through the water exceptionally well, and I don’t really feel the need to wear a skinsuit in conditions that aren’t wetsuit legal. I think just the suit alone would be about even with how it glides through the water.
Size-wise, I’m about 5’8” and a half and weigh 140lbs and fit very nicely into a medium. I fit into smalls in most stuff, but I think European-made suits tend to be a little smaller, but the medium fits pretty perfectly for me.
I was just really excited about this suit, and I know a lot of people are always looking for where to get a good custom suit made, so I though I’d share. Definitely the best quality in a suit that I have come by, and with price being one of the best and how quickly they got it to me it’s definitely something to look into if getting suits for yourself or a team.
