Custom team jerseys/who do you use?

i have been recomended to customsublimation by a friend, anyone else use this?

who else out there offers low min orders/good prices?

thanks in advance

You can also try Champion Systems http://www.champ-sys.com/pages/index.htm
.

Tri Tech uses Hincape. I am pretty sure that DeSoto can also do some of this for you, you might want to email Emilio

Ianpeace (Ian Murray) has done this a few times for LA Tri club. PM him.

I used Champ-sys this year. Min is 10 of one style then you get get any quantity of anything else you want. Worked out well. Prices are much better than anyone else if you want to get into multi color stuff. They also don’t have a setup fee.

Seen some great results with Voler, decent prices from what I understand.

If you are looking for tri jerseys go with Emilio. He does a great job.

Here are a couple sample pics of our team jerseys.

Hi David,

Over the years, we have used Pearl Izumi, Louis Garneau, Castelli and Hincapie - all of which have had their pro’s and con’s. If you want to talk about the details, PM me or stop by the shop.

Leanne

Hands down go with Champion System. We have used Sugoi and Lg and Champion system is by far the better deal out there today.

For triathlon, we have used a number of companies with hit-miss results…

LG–Predictable, acceptable quality, decent sublimation, did not deal with discrepancies well
Voler–On schedule, inflexible, acceptable quality, adequate service
Champion–Late, poor quality shorts, inexpensive, non-responsive customer service once they’ve got your deposit…However, the low minimums make it really easy to get the “extra” items done for a team (vests, hats, arm warmers, etc.)…We intend to use Champion to order all our “extras,” but not our shorts/singlets.

I’m most excited to see that DeSoto is now doing custom sublimation…That’s a no-brainer if the sublimated clothes are the same as his other garments…My only question…Can we get tri suits (one piece) from Emilio?

If you are ordering CYCLING specific items, I’d highly recommend contacting Team Sales Cycling and ordering Santini (high minimums, but great product at a competitive price). Vermarck and Capo Forma are also really doing great quality right now (with slightly less predictable schedules).

Whatever you do…Order BEFORE Interbike or you’ll be in a long line waiting for clothing.

we used hincapie this year again…against most team members objection to our first year fiasco with them. they proved to be just as incompendent this year as last year. never again!!

You can get custom one pieces from Emilio. We got them this year and I love mine. Head and shoulders over the LG one from last year. Super customer service on top of a great product, what’s not to like?

Kevin

You’ve just made my entire team ordering experience much better…

What are the minimums?

Can you comment on pricing/restrictions?

Cheers,
Puskas

The company you choose should also really depend:
-on what type of design you want, meaning do you have full color graphics with color blends, is it mainly solid colors, do you have really random and non normal colors, do you need a photo finish? These all come into play as each printer has it’s own strong and weak points.

-quantity has a huge affect on who you should go with, this interacts with the art as well

-fit, zipper options, collar options are other things to consider

just in case, if you need design work and Sugoi works out for you, I’ll give you free or discounted artwork design and setup depending on your order size if you book through me. They also killer deals on custom shorts until the end of the year. If you need shorts right now, Sugoi is the place to go hands down.

I’d also highly recommend DeSoto. I have one team kit (Midwest Flyers) from Hincapie, my G4B kit from Louis Garneau, my Planet X kit from (S2), and my (bought) kit for Wheelie Fun by Sugoi. So, that about covers them all!

Honestly, they are all fine and I like things about each (love the perforated “air” chamois of the LG for example and the sheer fabric of the S2).

But, DeSoto always just seems to get it “just right” (well, except their odd blend of colors/patterns, but that is just me likely). Plus, you get to deal with the absolute pinnacle of support from ANY company (tri related or not).

I went with LG last year. Nice product, but I only ordered a dozen sets so they wouldn’t be flexible and make one of them a ladies for me.

Hello,

Emilio De Soto here. We now have a custom apparel program. Send me an email to emilio@desotosport.com and I will send you the details.

If you are looking for mainly cycling clothing, I’ll chime in a good word for Giordana products. They are imported through Gitabike. We have used them for the past 3 years and the service and products have been top-notch. No experience with their tri-specific items, but they do sell them as well.

We also did champ-sys for accessories this year, and were somewhat underwhelmed. Customer service was good, but the cycling caps fit more like the old style painter caps, not cycling caps. Shoe covers were ok, and the leg warmers were actually pretty nice. They do have the advantage like someone else mentioned of low minimums and no charges for extra colors.

David,

Here are some key things to keep in mind:

Pieces - if you just want bike shorts and jerseys then everybody does that, but if you’re gonna want tri pieces too then don’t attempt to split the order with tri pieces from one company and bike from another - they will NEVER match. Go with one company that does everything you’ll ever way.

Minimums - some folks, Voler for example - do great work but you have to order a rather large quantity of similar pieces to make the minimum. That can be tough sometimes so check on minimums.

Price - shop it around, there are new companies popping up all the time that are hungry for work.

Voler is an option, Champion Systems is an option. There’s a new kind in town - Pactimo who has good numbers. Luis Garneau does good work. I didn’t know that DeSoto did custom sublimation, good to know. Keep shopping it.
