I am doing Alcatraz solo. My son and his two cousins are doing legs of the race as relays. Unfortunately, one of the cousins is a real runner, so my chances of prevailing are basically none, but I digress.
I need a T shirt or golf shirt for the family spectators. I need a supplier for maybe ten shirts. I have no idea where to go for this. I also need a design. Hopefully someone can come up with a better idea than my motto of “The Franke Cuzins, Just Becuz.”
I want them to be nice, to refer to the race and the date. How do I go about this?
I’ve done similar things for a small group or race. Look in your local yellow pages for screen printing or T-Shirts, something like that, I cant remember exactly what the category was.
I’ve always used local folks to do small orders. There is usually a set up fee for the printing and then a per piece charge. Multiple printed colors cost more.
You can find places that will do the art for you, but its cheaper to create you’re own logo if you can. The folks I’ve used most recently use ‘.tif’ files for the art and you can just e-mail it directly to them.
Not much help, I know, but it should get you started.
There are also a number of places on the internet that you can design your shirt with templates or submit your own artwork. They generally charge based on number of colors and the number of shirts.
