I’m thinking of buying a used Renn 575 disk, and getting some custom graphics put on it to match my bike. I’ve done a few google searches and have found some decent pictures, but curious if anyone out there has any custom graphics they would want to share or if anyone knows of a good site that has a bunch to look at. I’m trying to get some ideas.
Dan Dakin does wheel stickers (atleast used too) He is now the editor of Canadian Cyclist magazine and a little busy, so I don’t know if he still does them.
In case anyone cares, this is what I came up with. A few different designs inspired me, and then I just changed a few things and got the colour scheme to match my bike.
I got it done at a shop called JD Graphics in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. I work just down the road from them. I gave them a picture of what I wanted, and they rolled with it. They did the graphic design, the printing and then put it on the wheel for $300. They specialize in custom vehicle graphics, and are pro’s. They did a great job. No worries about it coming off or anything!
That’s hilarious. I’ve been looking around trying to find a place that’ll do a good job. Your’s is the nicest I’ve seen and I’m in Cambridge, Ontario and work in KW. I’ll certainly check them out. (And probably see yours in Guelph Lake or Milton or Lakeside or at Victoria’s Du… )
Small world for sure, and yes you may very well see me at one of those races. I’m doing Ironman Austria next July, so there won’t be too many of the smaller races in the schedule. Send me a message at lehgoetz@rogers.com if you want any more info. on the wheel graphic and the contact at JD Graphics. They’re more or less at the corner of Frobisher and Davenport in Waterloo.
