I just wanted to offer up a service to my fellow Slowtwitchers. I have recently put together a few vinyl decals for my own disk wheel and found the results to be quite stellar (see below). If you a graphic (2-5 colors, nothing super intricate, that is beyond me) that you would like to see on your wheel, please send me a PM and I will do my best to get you a quote. If you choose to proceed with an order, I will need the precise dimensions of your wheel for the cutting. Flat disks like Renn and FFWD are ideal for full wheel graphics, but the flat center sections of Zipps can be dressed up too. For Lenticular shaped wheels, solid designs are unlikely to lie flat, so keep that in mind when submitting graphics. For an idea on pricing:
Drive Side (multiple small pieces $25, 2 color, $5 per additional color):
Non-Drive Side (large single graphic $40, 2 color, $5 per additional color):
Valve Covers (2-3 colors max, $3 each, minimum 5)

Could this be applied to a wheel builder disk cover?
I see no reason why not. The adhesive is such that it can be applied to most any surface (originally intended for mounting to painted walls I believe) and be removed with little to no residue.
I am not completely familiar with the shape of the wheel cover, but would assume that if the cover is flat it would work. If the cover is someone conical/lense shaped when applied to the wheel, you would have to ensure there is some type of gap in the design to allow for proper application.
