Has anyone actually managed to get this $£^% working?

I stupidly paid for it before trying the trial.

Cannot detect when CTs are connect, same for ANT sticks. Twice I’ve manged with 10-15 minutes effort to get it to detect HR and both times its sent nothing to CompCS.

Anyone got this working?

(Also really doesn’t work with the new Racermate software, I’m a beta tester of it and it really doesn’t look like a runner at all)

Annoyed… One normal Racermate HR cable, two of the fancy ones and now ctAnt and I’m still left using an earclip for HR data…

Oh for an alternative to a CT…

What do you want? I’m confused what ctANT actually does.

Just pick up HR data through a strap and put it in the same ride file as your computrainer?

I only have the old version that uses Regular Polar HR and that stopped working a while ago.

You may have, but if not it could potentially clear up any issues.

I had the same problem. Emailed the company and received great service by the way.

It seems that you have to disable the Ant+ agent thingy. It’s the balloon looking thig that pops up in the bottom right hand side of the bar. Once I did that, it worked as advertised.

I haven’t tried it but I have the new unit and it doesn’t work when I’m on a real ride and riding up a hill. It goes to 0 and that’s all she wrote until the grade drops to under 4% or less.

It will also transmit cadence and power to the Racermate software.

I’ve been using it regularly with two CT’s running the RM coaching software. It has some glitches from time to time. It has been great to get away from the earclip and RM wireless heartrate options. Also convenient to use the ANT+ sensors and not have the bikes wired up in any way.

The display showing cANT+ power received from bike powermeter against the CT power is interesting too. It highlights the importance of calibrating the CT.
