Crushed Aero Bar Pad

Since Feb. I’ve worn out 2 right side aero bar pads. I’m down to the metal part on the side closest to the saddle. I’ve adjusted them forward & back, but still crush them. My LBS has looked at me in the bars, but can’t figure it out. Has this happened to anyone and if so, how did you correct it?

I can relate. I have Profile X-Carbons and I’ve “flatted” the left arm pad. I just replace the pad. I don’t know why it happens, but wonder if I put a lot more weight on one side?

I’m riding on Profile Design Aero Lite’s if that helps anyone.

I’m not an expert so take this for what it’s worth. I would bet that if it’s just the back side of the pad, you either have the bars tilted forward a little too much, or you are using the bars too much for leverage (pulling back on them with your hands, causing your elbows to dig into the pads).

Good heavens man swap those crappy pads out for something real. Do a search on ebay for ceegees aero pads. Traded out my stock Cinleei corna pads for a set of these and I’ll never go back. Had a pair on a set of Scott DH bars that lasted me (still being used by someone else as I type) for 12yrs. Best money ever spent.

I’ve never heard of them, but will try and find some pronto. Thanks for the tip!
