ITBS is classical case were specific exercises will improve form and allow people to run further. Top marathoners do quick track workouts all the time and many of them do ladder drills and form running drills too. They only take a couple minutes to do. Just like a lot of core endurance exercises and in time your form will get better. And sounds like you never had any problems and didn’t need of these exercises but I believe I do and I believe from watching other people that they would benefit from this as well.
