Cross threaded bottom bracket thread! Anyone encountered this?

I was installing a Campy bottom bracket on a Cervelo Soloist and I did not notice I had the thread in the right groove until it was well into the frame. I can’t seem to get it out now because it appears to be logged in there tighter than an elephant’s turd stuck in a humans ass.

If I get it out (how?), has anyone been successful on rethreading the bottom bracket thread on the frame?

Uh oh…

I will pray for your cervelo, but I don’t think it will help.

Stop. I would go to a good bike shop with taps and let them deal with it. Sometimes they can run the tap in and it will be ok, sometimes not. Whenever you pick up a spoke wrench or BB bracket tool always think “with this tool I could really screw up my bike”. (I think some bike shops give out free spoke wrencheswhen business is slow.) I usually thread a BB in as much as I can by hand. If a couple fingers won’t allow it to go on. it may not be lined up right. I wish you a good outcome.

I think you best pray for the OP
I would just bring a six pack of Blue to my local shop monkey with the bike
Joe would give me shit for screwing up and he would fix it.

You have to take it to a shop - they may be able to save the frame with a BB thread chasing tool.
