Fun evening. 'Lil Audrey phoned me from work yesterday morn to let me know that this fellow was camped about two miles from our place. I took him some strawberries (we have a few…), food and a care package for his animals (dog, bird and cat fud, top spot for the dog and corn for the horses).
And sent him off to Allen’s farm some 16 miles down the road for his next overnight. He’s been up to Russel KS and down to Wako TX and is currently chasing the western edge of OK. He’ll hold up at Allen’s till Thursday as the weather is a bit rough.
Anyway…here is Roy’s wagon.
The triangle is Roy’s weather vane…if the pecan is swaying, it’s windy; if the pecan is dripping water, it’s raining; if the pacan is gone, some farking squirrel stole it while the tornado came through.
Here’s 'Lil Audrey, Allen (center) and Roy enjoying a bit of gin…Allen owns and actively farms over 3,000 acres of wheat and runs a large stocker operation.
Needless to say, Roy has a few stories to tell. He’s been on the road for two years.
