Hi and thanks for reading. I’m 22, 155 pounds and 5’ 10. I have been swimming and running for a few years and decided to give a shot at triathlon last summer. Needless to say bike is my weakest link and I have been trying to improve it during the off season on the trainer.
I’ve recently went from an Aegis Trident to a Cervelo P3-SL size 54. I have been working on my position lately so any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!
Here is a link to the video (sorry for the quality, I used my cellphone and it was very sunny outside…):

Try to replicate this guy’s position and repost when you get it done
.
a) i think you will have trouble doing triathlons- given that you seem to live on a spaceship headed straight for the sun. I would focus instead on moving ship to another orbit
b) your evil twin who only cycles underwater seems to be trapped upside down in the fishtank that is buried in your floor. You may want to let him out before his water boils on your way into the sun. Don’t do this if this will result in a giant matter/antimatter annihilation that will destroy you in a flash of pure energy
c) do you have your head as a timeshare with your evil twin, who currently must be on the “not have” part of hte head cycle? same true with your feet below the knees? be sure to scheudle races only when you rae the one with the ankles- the head is just a lot of air drag tho
d) in all seriousness,i think your seat is a bit too high. can you lower your armrests further? what distances are you preparing for?
e) overall looks good, sad to hear its all for naught when you burn up in the sun.
Thanks for the reply, I agree lighting was terrible. I lowered my seat a bit. Is the positionning any better?
Also, I am training for 70.3 distance.

Thanks
You should buy some S-Bends and not waste all that frontal area you aren’t even going to use
.
Is your seat level?
Jodi
Wow, at the beginning, you posted the worst ever critique my position video, and that’s saying something.
Your seat is about a mile too high.
Seriously.
Your foot is at ~45 degree angle at the bottom of your stroke, it should be close to level.
Ok. You win. You win the highest seat ever in the universe award. Do you use oxygen up there in the stratosphere?
Your seat is way to high.
OK thank God you posted a new video, I thought I was going blind. Seat looks much better, but you look a scrunched up. It looks like your knees could hit your elbows at any moment. Maybe push your aero bars away from you just a tad. The rest looks pretty good to me. Is it comfortable for 56 miles?
Ok so I believe the seat is at a decent height now. I also distanced the aero bars. Does it look seem any better? Thanks

you make a good point.
combine that with his seat being all the way forward on the rails and he’s only mid-forearm on the pads.
Does anyone else think his stem or frame are too long or big?
Er
are you in MTL? (montreal)
if so you can PM me for the name of an excellent fitter who is also a cervelo dealer.

Ok, new rule. No more making us wait a minute while you put your feet into your shoes on the bike. Just walk to the bike and clip in.
Anyways, you still look pretty cramped in the cockpit and your seat may even be a little low. You could possibly slide the saddle back a little bit (1cm)
