I’ll probably change the brakes when I have the $$ for it, maybe cut the extensions a little, but I like having the alternative position of putting my hands on top of the ski bends.
I think you could get away with a bit less energy holding yourself up if you could bring your elbows back, but that isn’t really a critique and you’ll have to deal with knees potentially hitting, so your torso length may not accomodate it. In my totally unprofessional opinion I think your position looks good!
Position aside, I think you need to pull back the aero bars, because you’re having to reach for them beyond the pads to change gears. That makes changing gears a chore instead of just a quick flick of the fingers.
I think your head position needs to be adjusted.I dont believe in the darth vader helmet thing. Plus if your doing a 1/2.IM in southeast Asia your head will burn up.If you drop your head down slightly it will help your neck and your breathing.Looks great
Yeah… knee knocking is a bother. Syntace makes their aerobars such that the elbow pads tend to be a bit further back, but that makes them so much more comfy.
I actually ride with my hands where the bar-end shifters are most of the time… it’s more comfy.
Because I sit so far forwards, my saddle tends to tilt forward slightly, and having my arms angled actually results in no net muscular effort on my arms. I find that if my arms were 90 degrees, I’d actually have to push backwards with my triceps to stay on the saddle.
I’m a Singapore local, I know what the temperatures are like. I’m kinda used to it so it’s quite fine actually.
Yeah, my head position probably isn’t the most ideal. I’ll work on that. Want to keep my helmet tip against my back, cos that’s the most aerodynamic position for this particular helmet.
Nope, the position hasn’t been wind-tunnel tested… yet.
