I am on an arione saddle (road version) scooted forward.
In my eyes (while being serious), your saddle looks a skosh to low, and you look stiff as hell in your upper body through your back.
Otherwise, nice bike… although it says “GURU” a billion times!!
I think your right thumb is out of position.
Drop some spacers in the front, maybe all of them and see how it feels. Saddle is on the low side of the correct range, I would leave it as it is.
I (guru) thank (guru) you (guru) for (guru) your (guru) input (guru).
Oh, and by the way…
guru.
Some ideas:
- get your aero bars a tiny bit shorter
- remove 1/2 spacers (unless you choose to raise your saddle)
Also, don’t try to ride with your head in that position if you do long distance…otherwise you will get very sore in your neck area!
I would think in a long race your neck will get sore. Maybe it just me but it sure looks cranked up.
Wow,
You are high. Do you have a bad back?? If not, drop that front end. Use more of the Chamois creme ya got there. Get rid of the wired speed sensor.
Is that an oil stain under your chain?? I could never pull that on our carpet…
Good choice on the Chamois Butt’r… and thanks for not posting a picture of the application process.
My back really starts to bother me after about 25 miles of hard riding (at race pace). I am going to try to raise the seat a little and take some spacers out.
Nice petrified bunny. Bunnyman will like that.
On your position…my gut reaction is “this bugs me”…I think you are too high on the front end. Is that how you normally ride, meaning do you normally hold your head up that high? If so, your entire grape is bashing the wind…add a helmet and you’re really not helping your aerodynamics at all. I don’t think you are too high in the saddle region, but actually measuring anything…its hard to say if any adjustment is needed. FWIW, I prefer a lower saddle position than many others…more in the Lemond mode, I think…
You just look too stiff and posed in this picture…I’m not sure its representative of how you really ride…
Oh, and you are now dubbed “GuruBoy”…please change your name accordingly.
GuruBoy it is.
Well played.
I’m thinking you could generate a lot of work for a massage therapist! My neck is sore just looking at your position!
using the back of my head as reference, I have my head at ~70 degrees.
What should it be?
and forgive my riding ignorance, but are you supposed to basically look down the entire time?
Very contemporary looking pad. Do you watch the fireplace while working out?
I keep my head quite a bit lower and kind of look up with my eyes, not my head if that makes any sense.
I would lower the front. maybe raise the seat but can’t tell from angle. You also look too forward - how does the bike handle on descents? Maybe shorten the stem and slide the seat back for more stability. Oh…watch out for the bookshelf you are about to run over.
I too ride a guru and was silent when a poster on another thread was bitching that the new trek that was graffiti-ed with “trek” 10 times. I was going to pipe up that my Guru had that beat by 2, but was embarrassed- well NO MORE.
guru guru guru guru…etc.
