Critique my fixie position

Thanks to Slowmans updates to the forum I can now post pics, so for a bit of fun critique away. The full ST rite of passage will have to wait till I get an appropriate image of the Cervelo.

Now THAT is a fixie!!!

hmmm… just got a couple ideas for the frame sitting here in my cube under my desk

Your helmet doesn’t match!

You look good to me.

Depending on how radical you wish to be, you might consider replacing that brake lever with a bar end shift lever, perhaps even located at the end of your aerobars.

Matches the overshoes though. Maybe I should give Tai a call for some graphics.

I think that should win the award for best ST bike porn.

hmmm…yer from scotland…on a fixie…on the road…yer doing obree proud, mate. good job.

Just wish I could go as quick as he does!

Damn… Just… Damn…

Mighty fine machine.

i’m no expert, but your elbows seem very close together… isn’t it more aero if your elbows are spaced apart similar in relationship to your knees? i remember reading something to this on some wind tunnel results. errrr, anyway bad ass getup scotland

Your position looks good; your fixie looks good. The whole thing is just a testament to the great Scot TT tradition. Kudos.

Seriously–that is nice all the way around–bike and position. Elbows are fine, in fact they look very similar to Cancellara’s in Cervelo’s banner ad…

Where did you get that frame? How tall is the head tube?

Damn bro, that is SA-WEEEET!!! But you really need a Delta brake…

Dude, this the more aero looking bike position posted on ST this year.

I nominate it for the most aero position of the year. How tall are you, and is your seat slammed back ~72 degrees? Is your drop ~ 20 cm? This almost looks as good as Lemond when he won the Versaille to Paris TT back in 1989!

well…given this dude’s apparent experience and preparation (your arms don’t get that skinny from swimming), he certainly wasn’t looking for input from unknown forum folks’…post should be retitiled. “check out my vanity post”…but it is a cool pic to see

Frame is an ex GB sprint team kilo training frame with a 9cm head tube.
Basically a track TT frame with new forks.

6’1" with 32 inch inseam. Bike is 73 degrees and drop is something like 25cm, which is more than the drop on the Cervelo.

You’re correct that the only swimming stoke I know is ‘sink like a brick’, this is why I don’t comment on swimming or running threads. I come here cos it’s fun, and hopefully I can add some value to the cycling threads. And yes, I wouldn’t dream of trying to get off this bike and run.

EDIT: edited for spelling
