Please critique my bike position
How did you get the female species to help out . . . ?
Well she was not cleaning up the room at the time. LOL
It maybe a little helpful to see your head in the position of not looking straight down.Aero helmet?
My opinion is that you are far too streched out. Don’t know what seat tube angle you are at - if you have room to move your seat forward and get a shorter stem? Look at the position of the dude asking for help with which helmet to pick - while you don’t need to be as agressive as he is, look at the angle of his arms to his chest.
Holy positive stem angle Batman! I think if you push the seat forward a bit or get a slightly shorter stem (with a lesser angle…or flip that 17 degree baby around) and you should be able to get lower and flatter.
I think I need a new seat post. The one I have is already at the max in terms of forward seat position and I can’t “flip it around”. Any suggestions for a seat post that will allow me to move seat forward. Also, what is a good, shorter post with no or minimal positive angle. Thank you for suggestions.
work on your pedal stroke very choppy. one legged drills will help!
From the looks of things, you are on a road bike, and it’s basically impossible to get into a proper ‘ST approved’ position on a road bike. Throw some shortie extensions on there and save your pennies for a tri geometry frame.
The bike is Quintana Roo Typhoon…took the decals off. So it should be capable of being set up for a ST position…maybe I was sold (or bought) the wrong size frame.

Concur. Short term, get a short, straight stem…
In the mean time, look here:

Notice how they almost all have 90* elbow angle. This is more aero, comfortable, and tends to provide a stronger position for your legs.

What’s the seat tube angle on it? If it’s like my old QR caliente, the STA was 76’ and with the seat slammed all the way forward you still had to have the bars pretty high to get a good hip angle.
Or, your top tube is too long and you need a smaller frame. ![]()
