I’m looking for a design which combines the two elements into one cohesive design. This is the most logical combination I’ve been able to come up with, although working in MS Paint has severely limited my creative options at this stage. The final version would say BOSTON MARATHON 2008, not as shown. IRONMAN 2005 would replace the text at the bottom, and would match the other font. The size would probably be as shown.
The problem at this point is that it lacks creative elements: it makes sense, but looks like a letterhead design, not tattoo-worthy, like the custom flowered m-dot posted here previously. It needs something more. And then there’s color. Standard black on skin, or multicolor? The BAA logo is purple and yellow, and the M-dot is traditionally red (although I’d prefer to work in something indicating IMFL, just so nobody thinks I’m suggesting I did a real Ironman
As for the larger M-dot tattoo discussion, I already have two rather ugly and meaningless tattoos, and this will cover one of them, so whether I actually put it on my body or not is largely unimportant to the discussion.
Sphere - ignore the naysayers here. It’s your body, do what you want with it. As for your tat, I have no idea - I’m NOT creative. I’m a fan of the M-Dot being RED since that’s what it is, so maybe the Ironman related items can be in red and the Boston related items can be black. I am NOT a fan of crowded tats that have lots of crap and small lettering.
