Creaky ISIS BB...... fixes?

is there any way to fix this, or do i need to buy a new one?

thanks,

Amazingly vague question.

I had a creaky BB and thought it just needed to be serviced. Took it in and turned out to be pitted and had to buy a new one.

No one can answer this without knowing what causes the creaks.

ok, i have no experience with BB’s. I didn’t even know there was a way to service them. Can a good mechanic inspect it and tell what’s wrong with it? Do they take lubrication?

thanks,

The best fix for an ISIS bb is a tapered square…

Take it in to a mechanic you trust, and let him (or her) have a look.

nevermind, i just started torquing my seat and was able to replicate the sound- it’s the old cervelo creaking seatpost problem.
never had this problem before, i’ll try lubing it and will start a new thread if i need any additional help.

thanks for your time,
