Shame on those who don’t wear a helmet…regardless if it’s a ride to the corner store on your MTB with your kids or if you are on a group ride or if you are riding a double century.
I went over the handlebars this weekend and landed on my head. THANK GOD I was wearing my trusty Giro Pneumo. I landed on my head and cracked the helmet in 4 places. Other than the cracked helmet and some good road rash, I’m good to go and will be out riding again tomorrow morning. If it weren’t for my helmet, I’d either be still in the hospital, or be floating in heaven looking down at my wife and 7 week old baby boy.
I realize that there is another thread going about this same topic (wearing a helmet on a group ride), but I still can’t understand why anyone would risk it at the sake of trying to look cool (if that’s their reasoning).
WEAR YOUR HELMET !!!
