Which is best:
FSA Mega Exo K-Force with Ceramic bearings (Enduro, I believe…).
or
Dura-Ace 7800 Crankset
or
Dura-Ace 7800 Cranks with FSA BB with Ceramic Bearings (is this even doable?). Is this best of both worlds?
Purpose is for sustained efforts…ie TTing. Greater concern regarding RR of bearings than stiffness of cranks.
Yes the last one is doable. Some on Le Tour are using that setup.
The best one from the three options is the one with the best price point. The differences are so minimal!
Compact: FSA K-Force Lite with FSA Mega Exo BB with ceramic bearings.
Standard: Dura Ace with Ceramic Speed BB bearings.
The FSA DOES NOT have Enduro bearings. They are much better bearings than that.

Considering that Fabian Cancelara won 2 stages with FSA Gossamer cranks (very mid range in their line-up) I would not worry too much about cranks. I’d go with the cheapest of the three you suggest.

I just ran out to the LBS at lunch time to buy some crank/BB removal tools. My FSA SL-K crank set continues to creak and make funny noices. It also constantly comes loose on the non drive side since those boneheads designed the retention bolt to tighten opposite direction you pedal. Guess you know which I like better…

Yes it works, don’t know how much gain you’ll get but if you are buying a new one dura ace comes with a BB in the box.
Having owned both I would go with the DA as I find it to be a bit more durable and solid.
