Roadie is usually correct
.

Rasmussen to compete in France Ironman.

the organisers of Ironman France are about to announce that the disqualified/dishnored Tour de France cyclist Michael Rasmussen will compete in IM France 2008.

While Rasmussen is not allowed to compete in any cycling event for the year, he is free to compete in any other sport.

He said he has come to an agreement with the organisers on his undiscosed participation fee to compete on the 22th of June.

The Exc professional cyclist Laurent Jalabert who finished the IM world championship last year in 9:19 is helping Rasmussen in his preparation.

His coach Robert Barel, ex tri olympian, said he would be fine in the swim.

The organiser of IM France are expected to make the announcement in the coming month

http://forums.transitions.org.au/style_images/1/post_snapback.gifI doubt he will do it. Surely someone knows Rob Barel who can confirm it.

That guy sure as hell better have good technique in the water cause he sure as hell doesn’t have any upper body strength
.

If he does race, I look forward to seeing how he does and wish him the best of luck. Well maybe not luck but with Rob as his coach, he should be fine.

I think his coach is going to throw him in, then a labrador will jump in and do the entire swim with him in its mouth.

I’ll bite…

Can chickens swim?

I thought he was fired from his team, did they ever make a decision on an actual suspension?

He’s not in the start list:
