Whoever said the radiologist reading the exam gets $400+ is quite mistaken. If that were the case, I’d read 4-5 MRIs a day and call it good. I currently work for an agency, so I get paid by the day and not by the read, but the number is probably less than $200/MRI these days. I know at one point in the 2002ish years, it was more like $75-100/read for an MRI. Much much more of the cost is tied into the technical side. You own the magnet, that pays better than having the eyes to read.
