I rode Hed Stinger wheels in Lake Placid. Since these wheels are all carbon fiber, I was told that I needed to use cork brake pads with them. Today I put my Shimano training wheels back on. Can I continue to use the cork brake pads or do I have to switch back? It seems to be stopping ok with the cork.
The cork BRAKE pad will work fine, but will wear out very quickly on an AL rim.

forget cork pads, just get some koolstop blacks, or the new zipp carbon pads (basically newer cooler koolstop blacks)
