Cork Brake Pads on AL Rims?

can you run Cork brake pads designed for carbon Fiber Rims on standard AL rims? I am being lazy and don’t want to change the pads out with a race in 2 weeks.

Only if you don’t want to stop! You should not run carbon pads on AL rims. It may work in the neighborhood, but forget a panic stop or hard braking.

Cork pads, no.

Get the Swiss Stop Yellow Kings… See this…

Yes. BUT… They do not work really good and check, double check the pad surface before putting back the carbon rims.
Also make sure look at the brake pad manufacturer, I know most major ones work both ways but yours could be carbon only. So don’t come and blame me if you break something.

They are the Bontragers- Are bontragers Bi-pads?

No Bontragers are gay. Get swisstops
Seriously get the swisstops or zipps but zipps are like have a life of 1 race! I have swisstops and they work OK on both surfaces.

Alright I just went and changed then- I’d didn’t want Bi-pads anyone no even on a bi-cycle
