the front wheel is on backwards
having raced with vintage fir wheels, you needed special, narrow brake pads to avoid scuffing the paint. You can see on the close up of the front wheel that the pad is almost twice the width of the braking strip

I have that crank on my Paramount. I love its design. I am on a constant lookout for that exact derailleur as well, but they usually go for so much I have to pass.
