So i was thinking of getting this shirt because i think it is extremely clever. But i wanted to get the public’s opinion on it first before getting beat up at the TOC. Thoughts?

Personally, I find it cheap not clever. Profiting from the fund raising efforts of Livestrong is pretty poor form. If you don’t like Lance, fine, but don’t knock his efforts of fund raising and cancer awareness programs.

You are a sharp one. Lance subject is always touchy and hence all the childish conspiracy- cherepuga should have just posted it on his own. The intend was not to spam the list or sell t-shirts. That would be lame and i apologize if it came across that way. The design is controversial enough that we just wanted to see people’s opinion. Specifically triathletes opinions, because most roadies i talked to actually love it. We pretty much got what we expected and i completely agree with all the negative comments- they are very much warranted.
Lance is a phenomenal cyclist, just like Floyd, Tyler, Vino… were all phenomenal cyclists. He is also really great for the sport- the publicity that he gets is priceless. Never mind that lately, he has been on the cover of almost every single major cycling publication, but he is also in the mainstream news. And while mainstream news and the general public can care less about bike racing, they love when professional athletes become “celebrities” and then start acting as such… any kind of publicity is good publicity, right?
And i can’t wait until he comes back to his tri roots. Triatheltes need a little bit of Lance in them just as much as everyone else. Imagine all the sleeveless Livestrong/Astana/Discover/Postal jerseys LAF will sell…

I never hated or loved Lance. I received the book as a gift and at the risk of sounding shallow, only got halfway through and gave it away to someone else.
