I have a set of wheel with older, cheap, sora ‘8-speed’ hub. 10-speed cassette works fine. I’m nearly positive that the Shimano hubs are compatible between 8, 9, and 10 speed. You shouldn’t have to do anything besides just putting the 10 speed cassette on and ride.
