that maxxis flyweight got close!
Careful…as much as people complain about the “fragility” of latex tubes, IME lightweight butyl tubes are even worse…they tear just looking at them (they have nearly NO elasticity whatsoever).

Ditto, everyone who I know that has had multiple, repeated flats has either been from a foreign object in the tire, bad rimstrip, or lightweight butyl tubes. I live near a performance outlet and people keep buying the things on sale, then having no end of problems.
I’ll triple that, lightweight butyl tubes are damn scary. I’ve had two. One just blew apart at 80 psi when pumping up a tire. Another, tore near the valve stem. That was enough. Conversely, latex tubes seem nigh bullet proof.
From twitter exchange:
@ContiTyres Does the new Podium TT tub have a latex or butyl tube?
@NickEnglish21 Its a butyl Supersonic 0.45mm tube in there
ContiTyres is the UK distributor for Conti.
I have an older Podium Time Trial tub, the ‘Lightweight by CarbonSports’ version, looks the same as the Podium TT, but who knows. It doesn’t lose pressure as fast as my Veloflex Record or latex tubed clinchers.

I knew I had another more complete german tubes (latex, light butyl, strong butyl, etc.) test somewhere, found it

Hmmm…there should be a bigger spread between the butyl and latex power (more like 15% lower for latex) than what they are showing there…
Approximately 15% is what I’ve gotten although there is a big spread. This is consistent the comparison of the Michelin latex 22/23 with the Schwalbe butyl (105 grams) from the second jpg above. There are some comparative tests at the end of the list showing ~ 10% greater Crr for both the Bontrager RXXXL (53 grams) and RXL (65 grams) butyl tube and ~ 20% for the Bontrager standard (98 grams) butyl tube.
is this the Podium, but referred to as the GP TT? http://www.bicyclerollingresistance.com/road-bike-reviews/continental-grand-prix-tt-2016
.
Great question, by the looks of it based on the description it is the same tire in different widths vs. the Podium TT. Also, the price looks a little lower.
I’ve never used the GP TT but have used several of the Podium TTs; the tread is very thin compared to a tubular 4000s which I now run on my race day tubs.
Holy 5-year old thread revival Batman.
How does the Podium TT compare to the Continental Competition? The latter seems to get more attention.

It appears the Podium TT has slightly higher rolling resistance compared to the Competition (0.0060 vs 0.0059), according to Germany’s Tour Magazine: https://www.velonews.com/2007/06/bikes-and-tech/technical-faq/technical-qa-with-lennard-zinn-rolling-resistance_12493
