I was looking at the Conti GP 4000 S, but I noticed the Conti Triathlon was a slick tire so I thought that would be better for racing and training on.
Thoughts on the Conti Triathlon tire?
Is it faster or the same as the 4000 S?
Is the durability the same?
I’ve used both and can’t tell a difference. Go with whichever is cheaper.
I got some because they came in a 650, for my wife’s bike. I have the 4000s for my bike and the tires appear to be the same. Both tires are slick. As TT said, go for the cheaper deal. Conti gives this similarity for both tires on the website also:

I’m rolling the conti tri slick, came on my bike. I haven’t had any problems so I’m going to use them for racing as well.
By the way, the one flat I experienced with them, the tire came off and went back on the rim (Mavic Cosmic Elites) fairly easy with no need for a lever.
