More like the GP4000s or a Gatorskin? Looking to put something on the road bike that’s durable, but fast-ish. Training and fun only, no races.
Also considering the new Specialized Roubaix tire.

more like gatorskin. makes a fine training tire though.
Bummer. Mostly because I already have them and need all the help I can get while Strava hunting.
But I suppose that’s what those Schwable Ironman tires are for.
All depends on what you want from a training tire.
I’ve been on 4seasons since 2007, and can count the # of flats on one hand. At >10k miles/year. Not even considering trying anything else, whatever speed ‘penalty’ there may be it is more than off-set by reliability year round. And good mileage.
If you have unused 23mm ones you’re trying to off-load shoot me a pm =)
Thx, S
Ha. They are 25’s with a couple hundred miles on them. Had them as my “road tires” on a CX bike for a bit.
And now they’re on the road bike. Good to hear your positive experience and I like them as well. Just wondering of they are fast or not.
They roll quite well. I find them faster than Gatorskins (which are pigs), but as others have said not as quick at the limit as the GP4000s (which isn’t the fairest comparison). They’re tough as hell though as I still haven’t suffered puncture. I used them this weekend on a 415 miler through very hilly and decently pot-holed terrain without an issue. The other thing I like about them is that the 25c actually measures bang on unlike most tires out there.
