Contador's TT of his life

so, does that mean the Yellow Jersey made him go as well as he did, just like Rasmussen did last week? then, should we be suspicious too? if not, then Rasmussen’s TT last week shouldn’t be questioned. perhaps I’m one of the very few here who think Rasmussen is the one who truly won this year’s tour.

I guess the way I look at it is that you deal with the cards you got. Ras was thrown out and Alberto is in the Yellow, so-so be it. Ras was incredible when he was around, some would say too much so, and others not.

It’s kind of like speculating on Bonds/Aaron Homerun chase/record. You get to argue that he deserved it or didn’t or in your case say that Ras was the winner even though he won’t be the winner of record.

Good bar room talk or in this case forum banter.

Contador is actually a good TT’er though, he was 15th in the prologue and 7th in the stage 13 TT, not to mention his results in other, smaller stage races.

Well… the yellow jersey does make you go faster. About 30 seconds in a longish time trial, as was previously tested in a wind tunnel test years ago (can’t remember the details). The material the jersey is made of really plays a part, and the Yellow jersey TT skinsuit made my nike was pretty darn good. Other TT suits might have caught up since…

It is a known fact that yellow is the fastest car color, why should bike rider be any different?

Speaking of that, only the french would put cowardly YELLOW on a champion
