I have never doped, but you cannot ask me any questions…Nothing to see here, move on…
What I’ve found interesting since Contador came to the front during the tour is that they don’t ever let him speak unscripted or take questions. I didn’t see all of the coverage every day, but I don’t recall seeing any comments from him shown once he took yellow. At first I thought they were sending Levi out because he speaks english and contador may say something he isn’t sure of how to say, or something could be mis translated, so they erred on the side of Levi who is usually a safe bet. To me, it seems the whole time they were afraid to let Contador face the media at all. I don’t know if this is a case of a feared language barrier (but how many other foreign riders get up and answer questions?), they don’t think he can handle the heat, or they’re worried he’ll just make a stupid comment b/c he’s young?
Has he given interviews to spanish speaking media? Doping issue aside, I kept waiting to hear more from him regarding the tactics, etc, and what went on in the team bus as far as conversations about or between him and Levi?
Just think its strange. I really hope he’s got nothing to hide.
Don’t you guy’s ever get sick of posting this kind of shit?
Does it matter so much to you’s who or who doesn’t dope?
Can’t you just appreciate this guy’s ( Contador ) Tour win and incredible accellerations?
At least there’s some good cycling news today.
yeah, it was my second favorite thing in the whole tour. The only thing I liked more was Rasmussen’s ability to counter Contador’s accelerations and outlast him.
Whether someone’s win was legit will always be a valid question, but how can you possibly question it in a year where, the only reason the winner won was because someone else was disqualified late in the event? If you don’t care about doping questions, you might as well call Rasmussen the winner. Or Basso for that matter.
You know, I’d actualy do that. ( Call Rasmussen the winner)
I don’t care so much who dopes, I love seeing great performances from great riders.
Contador and Rasmussen definitly gave us some good moments in the mountains in which Rasmussen was stronger.
That being said, Contador looks like he can be the next Marco Pantani, he’s that good!! ,Rasmussen looks peaked out too me?
Had Basso & Ullrich started , it would have been a great battle in which one of them would have won I think?
This big “War on Drugs” may kill cycling? All the good riders are getting kicked out of the big races all of the time lately,I’m sick of it .
There would be no “war on drugs” if people would stop smokin crack and shooting dope too.
That aint gonna happen and I just want to see Basso and Ulrich ride as well as all the other greats who have been kicked out of the various big races.
Maybe letting them ride and hitting them in their pockest would be better for the sport?
Keep in mind I’m of the opinion that I’d rather see the greats ride , I don’t care if they cheat so much,it’s entertainment to me.

Uhm, Ras was not disqualified, His team pulled him from the race for breaking team rules.
I think this is more of a factor of him not speaking English.
But, just to be sure, you should keep an eye out on the grassy nole. He may surface there and speak to the media.
Uhm, let me restate: “the only reason the winer won was because someone else was pulled late into the event.”
the point is the same.
