AC showed he is not the smartest of guys…Armstrong just feeds on this kind of stuff, and he is the master of making others wilt with his words. AC would be much better off just enjoying his victory, trying to get out of his Astana contract and training to go for the repeat.
I really don’t get the Lance haters. He’s the greatest ever IMHO. Until A.C. wins the TDF five more times he’s not in the same league.

Armstrong always had enough to crush everybody.
So, while it may be true that he gets EVEN STRONGER if you make him mad, there is no reason to believe it.

The romantic idea that is Lance Armstrong, is ridiculous. Also unecessary. The reality that is Lance Armstrong is the most dominant athlete in the history of the world actually.
Why pretend like Contador lashing out is going to make him defy age as well?
besides, you think Contador wants to be an unmotivated rival? most people this good want to face their rivals at their best, and crush them anyway.

Earlier he said LA was his idol in his early career and that having him support him was truly an honor.
I think its funny we haven’t heard any of the team mates’ stories. Those are the ones I would like to hear.

that’s interesting considering in an interview excerpt that was broadcast during the Tour, he specifically said he read Lance’s book and was inspired by Lance’s recovery from cancer as he fought to recover from a brain aneurysm.
I think next year will be a very different year for Contador. Looking at the team dynamics and how they will change, Contador might now have such a strong team next year to help out with the marking of other riders and much of the other team dynamics that come into play. Not saying that he is not a great rider but it might not be such a gap next year.
I think part of his success this year was that Team Astana was a very strong team with great support riders. Take that away from him and lets see how well he does. What ever team he goes to, will have to be just as strong as Astana was this year.
Either way, I hope Contador goes away with an appreciation for his former Team and just how good the team and support group were. Buy the sounds of it, most of the team and support staff will be with Lance next year.

Hell, it’s all staged. It’s the beginning of the hype-machine to drive ratings for next year’s Tour. It’s the nose-to-nose at a weigh-in before a boxing match. It’s Macho Man Savage slapping Miss Elizabeth before a Wrestlemania. It’s Hulk Hogan wearing black and going NWO. “Whatcha goin’ to do when these pythons come crushing down on you!!!”

Wrestling sucks but I have to agree with you that the hype-machine will be going and will really ramp up early next year when the new teams are announced. It will be interesting to see what team they build up around Contador. I think Lance’s team will not be much of a surprise when it is sorted out.
