but it’s retroactive, so he’s able to race again come august.

True…but losses of the TDF, Giro titles has to have a major impact, no? Also…contracts issues when he comes back?
Given that he has been racing all this time, they should start the clock now. Stripping those results is inadequate

.
5 month ban is weak
.
Say what you want, this is an historic day-Schleck becomes the first woman in history to be declared the Tour de France champion. We live in amazing times.
Classic! First time in a long time that I’ve been laughing out loud on ST!
1 year and 7 months to make a decision.
That was quick…

ja,ja, lol
should have gone to the same legal team as Lance…
All is right in the world…Armstrong case dismissed in the same weekend Contador is officially busted.
should have gone to the same legal team as Lance…
Disappointed it took 11 posts to turn this into a Lance thread.
What exactly makes the ban retroactive? Wasn’t he racing this whole time? I look at it as a 7 month ban til august and the strip of his titles
The important thing is that we have finally settled who actually won those races that happened 18 months ago. In just another year, I’ll finally get to learn who won the 2011 Tour. I can’t wait.
The Vuelta should be interesting now…Contador should have lots of anger to get out over those 3 weeks.
Can anyone explain to me what it means that Contador can still appeal the CAS ruling to the Swiss federal courts, but only on procedural grounds?

Nice one!

They can’t challenge any of the evidence or introduce new evidence. They only appeal if they feel proper procedures were not followed.

Yes but they erased all those results. Are they going to have a parade for Andy in his hometown now or is it to late ?
