We’ve been in a constitutional crisis since Congress began abdicating it’s responsiblity to govern, and instead ceded those functions to the executive branch via regulations and executive orders.

Political theater. It happened during the Reagan administration where he was controlling headlines. It’s just everybody in Washington is doing it . Politicians are just sociopath.

They try (or at least consider) a 25th amendment coup, and even some people here thought that it was “constitutional”.

The 25th is for cases where the President dies, or is incapacitated, either by injury, or medical condition (stroke), etc., not just because your side doesn’t like them. Trying to apply it to Trump was not constitutional.
The 25th amendment “coup” that was talked about earlier was based off Andrew Macabe / Rosestein using the 25th amendment to remove trump. These are all republicans. Your comment makes no sense

Macabe was appointed by Comey, who was appointed by Obama.

Just like McConnell and the repubs who wanted to make Obama a one term prez. Way too tribal these days. I question if some of the elected officials … on both sides … take the oath of office seriously.

McCabe said that Rosenstein (another Republican) was the one who brought up the 25th amendment, which would need to get a majority of the cabinet members and the vice president. Who are all republicans.
It makes no sense to say the democrats (“your side”) would be behind a 25th amendment coup.
If you are going to claim that by “they” in your orignal statement meant a bunch of secret never trumper republicans who most were appointed by trump and the vice president, then that could be accurate.

O.k. So this went off topic quickly. I was referring to the fact that both Nadler and Pelosi (that I have actually heard the words from) have now declared that we are in a constitutional crisis (as of yesterday). I think they are full of crap.
I didn’t take this off topic but highlighted a similar scenario where Pelosi took the opposite position. If Pelosi and Nadler didn’t consider it a Constitutional Crisis then they cannot now. It’s all political theater.
The Dems cannot seem to refrain from the constant overreach. The very voters they need to pull will not be impressed. At all. I’ll never understand why they can only play checkers and not chess. Pelosi will get bullied into impeachment proceedings and the Dems will lose in 2020 as a result. It’s very predictable and frustrating.

It is a crisis as the Constitution is not really clear what to do when Congress holds the AG in contempt. In the past, they could have sent the Sargent of Arms out to arrest him, but they abdicated that function to DoJ
