Congress ends ban on medical marajuana

Bipartisan support.

It’s a good start.

“Under the provision, states where medical pot is legal would no longer need to worry about federal drug agents raiding retail operations. Agents would be prohibited from doing so.”

It’s a good start.

And hell it’s only taken what, 80 years?

Now if we can get past this whole medical marijuana “sham” and just legalize it for recreational use we’ll be getting some place.

Yeah it’s amazing to me that lawmaking idiots with no medical training get to decide that proven, safe remedies are illegal.

Meth, legal for prescription, illegal for recreation but somehow pot isn’t in most states. Meth is way more dangerous.

Now if we can get past this whole medical marijuana “sham” and just legalize it for recreational use we’ll be getting some place.

Yeah, I don’t really like the “medical” angle.

Just hit the bong and get baked. Who cares?

Now if we can get past this whole medical marijuana “sham” and just legalize it for recreational use we’ll be getting some place.

But but but don’t forget the taxes and Govt. control over who grow what/where and how much,

Now if we can get past this whole medical marijuana “sham” and just legalize it for recreational use we’ll be getting some place.

This.

I would say that at least 90 to 95 percent of “patients” at any given medical marijuana clinic in California are really in it for recreational purposes. I’ll admit, however, that Californai may not be the best example of a well-administered medical marijuana system. It was the first state to legalize it for medical purposes, and in doing so, didn’t think it through properly. Jurisdictions that followed had the benefit of looking at how fucked up California’s scheme was.

I wonder if this will spark another boon in the hemp stocks… I made some great money in the first round, maybe time to invest again.

Agreed. I have never understood why the government should tell anyone what they do to themselves. I feel I should decide what mind altering drugs (alcohol, marijuana, coke, heroin) I use. The government should hold me accountable for whatever I do under their influence that negatively impacts society.
