Why? Didn’t race an Olympic or sniff a podium last year. Best I did in my AG was 8th in a 70.3.
Last time I got an invite it said the reason was winning my AG in a sanctioned race. Since crossing over to the wrong side of 30, that seems to be a lot harder.
Anyone know the criteria before I start bragging to all my friends that don’t care about triathlon that I’m the greatest of all time?

you probably finished in the top 10% of your age group in the half IM race you did. That’s good enough.

I question the merit of this… I see many people get them who are BOP doing beginner oriented tri races such as Tri Rock.

You qualified because you were All American in the 2013 USAT rankings, that is in the top 10% of all USAT members that did 3 sanctioned races in 2013 for your age group. You were ranked 303 out of 3185 in your age group. You just recently got the message because the finalized 2013 rankings were just published.

Hey, she’s out there doing it and having fun, so why worry about it. If it bothers you, then next time she hits 3/5 and posts “another podium finish” just hit comment on her post offering your sincere congratulations on finishing 3rd out of 5 competitors, successfully beating two people to earn the bronze medal.

You totally have to go! I qualified and went last year but switched to the sprint because of some medical issues and Milwaukee was a blast!!! We are going back this year just to do the sprint! Great time and the athletes are treated like royalty.

On a serious note. I’ve heard great things about the race and would love to go but I’m on the east coast and have Louisville that same month.
