Good job.
I’m wondering about that course and what the race is like. We might want to do it next year. Is it an anual event in the keys?
good job mike, take it easy on me at dannon phoenix
.
Good onya, Mikey!!!
this was definetely a good race to go to. It was well put on, officiated and a great flat course. The whole bike course was closed to traffic as well.
The bad part, which had nothing to do with the organization of the race, gale force winds and 90 degree temps and very high humidity.
This was the first year for Dannon in Key Biscayne, but I think they had a decent turnout for the combined duathlon/triathlon so hopefully it will be a regular stop on the tour.
even with the high winds, the Renn disk performed flawlessly, Bunnyman and Frank would have been proud. This was also my first race using Rotor Cranks after training on them for about a month. I feel that once I settled in and started to ride them the way I was supposed to, they were a definate advantage. Over the 13 mile course, I think they were worth about 45 seconds advantage. Just my rough figuring though, very hard to quantify at this time, but I’ve been riding long enough to know my limitations and what to expect and think that this is a fair judgement.

Coming from you Mike, this is good to hear, as anyone who knows your cycling and multisport accomplishments can hold your experience with the system in high regard.
I just recently raised the regulation point (last week) one setting on my TT RS4 system, will let you know what I think of the extra high setting, Francois is doing the same with his Rotors.
