How many time have you seen 3 Bjorn’s in the top 25?

And furthermore, and not even mentioned or highlighted in the results, is that Bjorn was the ONLY one completing the entire course which included a last 6 k on rocks and loose gravel ascending a whopping 1000 m with the finish at 1850 m.
Bjorn was so far ahead that by the time the rest came in the weather (as seen in the pic:) was so bad that the organizers scratched the last 6 k and had an improvised finish much further down which no doubt “only” had him win by 43 some minutes when the real margin was well over an hour!

Bjorn rocks !!! Who was the poser who put Bjorn in the “overrated group” along with Judy Molnar anyway ? He is the real deal. Congrats on winning Norseman…that is one helluva a race. Its pure old school. That pic reminds of Molina racing World’s Toughest Tri around 1986 in the rain and snow while Lemond hammered the field in the “relay division”

Nobody ever said Bjorn wasn’t very talented, just a bit overrated (mostly on this forum). He is obviously a fast dude and seems like a nice guy too.
Congratulations on a great performance.
It bafffles me that you guys find him overrated. I guess the bar is pretty high in this respect. He himself said that he was undertrained going into Ironman NZ this year. When he is well trained and not injured, his results have been superb. (Last time I checked, swimming sub 50, biking 4:30 and running 3:20 is superb…at least in my books…or riding 2:02 for a half ironman).
Bjorn, if you want to come out for a trip to Ottawa Canada on Sep 3rd, we have a “Bjorn Favourable Course” that you can break 8 hours on for the Ironman or go sub 3:45 for half…
It’s no fault of his, he doesn’t talk trash or hype himself up. I have the utmost respect for Bjorn’s abilities. It’s just an internet forum thing, any girl that posts here is automatically the hottest girl in the world, any pro athlete is the best. I don’t want to hijack a thread congratulating Bjorn for a good race so I will leave it be.
Congratulations Björn. It was awesome to see you attack the mountain together with your support crew. (I was positioned at the mountain check-point at that time).
I’m happy you got to the top, and as the conditions got worse, I’m happy the mountain was “closed”.
How was the swim start? Was it jump and go or did the ship just bring everybody to the swim starting line? That looks like a big drop.

It was jump and then wait until everyone was on the starting line. I think the big drop was a good idea so you couldn’t feel how cold the water was before jumping in.
