that was not pass interference…big ten refs conspired for a rematch.
imo not a classic, blown coverages, blown tackles, missed passes stupid penalties roughing the center. not what you expect from a “classic”
Sorry that was pass interference, the defender never turned back to look for the ball, and hit the receiver. And yes that was also unnecessary roughness on Michigan.
Like you said…right call on both plays…and I’m a Michigan fan.
Although I’m not totally in favor of a rematch, these are the two best teams. If Notre Dame beats USC and Flordia loses one more game Michigan should get another shot. If Michigan wins then what, a rubber match??

I’m sure Ohio State wants nothing to do with a rematch although I’d be willing to bet that’s what will happen.
IF there was a playoff system in place Ohio State more than likely have to play them again.
It may not seem fair to Ohio State that they should have to beat them twice to win the championship but that’s just the way it works out this year.

Huge Buckeye fan here, and I agree. If O’Neill turns around and looks for the ball it may not have been called. In college you have to play the ball or it will be called every time.
I know the Buckeyes are bummed about not getting to play Rutgers in the Championship game.
It’s been interesting to compare how these things played in the stadium vs. on TV. During the game there was lots of bitching and moaning about the officials. Leaving the stadium still a bit of mumbling about the calls. Got home and see the replays and it looks like the officials got them right (at least to me anyway).
It was a fun night. Congrats to UM on a well-played game.
