Congrats to Ironclm's pb

With all you have done on this forum Ironclm, you should have a thread all to your own. Afterall,I think you are much cuter than Mr Tibbs!!! You go girl and Congrats…Hope to meet you some day Kenney

Just read the blog on her race…

Big Congrats

I’ll second that! Great start to your season, Cathy! Congrats on the PR. Think that midwinter bike racing helped?

Leigh

bump till Ironclm hears how much we care!

Thanks you guys!

Now to keep up the biking and work on the running. And Leigh–I think the bike racing helped, but moreso, the riding long miles with the fast boys who pushed me at the end of a 5 or 6 hour ride. Those last 10 miles yesterday were cake.

Training resumes tomorrow…

Your opinion please on my other post(does 3 days off make a diff). To bring it a year round, I just bought my first wetsuit…A year ago you made arrangements for me to have one to race in…Thanks again…Did not you say there are no strangers in tri? Congrats Cathy!!! More bests for you!

Kenney…REST!!!

Cool news on the wetsuit! What brand? I still have that QR. Maybe if Mr. Tibbs wears and XL, I could send it to him.

Congrats on a really strong race, Cathy! Sounds like you executed perfectly!!

Cathy,

Just read your blog (http://ironclm.typepad.com)

Congrats on a great race! Nice PR!!! Your race report is well written as usual. Pics were pretty cool. Now we know what Pooks looks like!

See Ya' at Alcatraz. We have a good size crew from NC and the usual Mad Dogs coming this year.

Joel

Great race report, Cathy!

Kinda sounds like my races:

That thought during the swim “What am I doing this for?”, Wetsuit woes, Passing everyone on the downhills…

Great bike and overall time. You should be very proud of yourself and it looks like you had a wonderful time as well.

Thanks for the inspiration. I have been waffling on competing this year but I think I have made up my mind to just do it. St Ants, and White Lake here I come…

Thanks Dawn, Bob, Joel and Maylene!

Maylene: Great to hear you are going to compete this year. I look forward to your race reports.

Joel: See ya at Alcatraz. Terry Davis asked me last night if I would run registration. We’ll hope for warmer weather and less chop than last year.

Congrats Cathy. Great race! I hope to finally meet you in Folsom. I’m REALLY not looking forward to that cold swim. I did Folsom Intl two years ago and it was cold in August- I can only imagine how cold it’s going to be in May. I think I’m going to be singing your same mantra during the swim. Or maybe I’ll use Dorrie’s song from “Finding Nemo”… “just keep swimming, just keep swimming, just keep swimming swimming swimming…” (sorry, my 2 year old watches that movie about 10 times a day).

Hi Cathy,

Congratulations!!! that was a great race for you… I did the Ralph’s too and enjoyed the hell out of the course and was pleased as punch about feeling so great on the run…yep corny pleased as punch.

Again, Congratulations…and I heard that the headwinds were pretty tough and we had em for at least 30 of the 56 miles too!!! The water was cold…brrrr…they said 60 but it felt like 55…bbbbrrr…lol.

take care,

jonathan

Cathy! Awesome! Congrats on the PB, you looked solid on the run and I couldn’t help but smile as I saw you drop my a$$ on the back side of the first loop!
