While interesting, this is not necessarily new news. Craig Calfee experimented with bamboo as a frame material years ago.

From a post he has on the Calfee forum Craig is actively looking at putting a bamboo bike into production.
I don’t think it’s going to be UCI legal. They usually require a double triangle bike, and this one seems to have four triangles. Maybe a petition needs to be made in order for the bike to race.
