Computrainer (9)

Anyone with a computrainer have a stand for the computer (control module)? I want to build one so I don’t have to have the computer getting sweat all over it. I’m thinking PVC or something with a stand. ANyway, if you have ideas or pictures I would appreciate your ideas.

There are directions on the computrainer website under the multirider section that I built and it works great. It’s made with 1/2" copper pipe and cost me like $7.

Ken

I built one out of PVC.

The base is rectangular, about 12" x 6" with T’s in the middle of the short sides.

I have 2 vertical posts that are connected on the top, forming a loop.

I’ll try to get a pick tonight.

awesome thankyou!

I made one out of PVC, (3/4" if I remember correctly), but I set up the CT next to built in shelving in my garage because the shelf holds the PC, water bottles, log book, gels, and any other junk I may need during a ride. The PVC bracket is hard mounted to the frame of the shelving. Computer monitor on a workmate with a 30" fan in between. I can do long hauls with this set up.

This is what I did. The stand was $45.00 from Target. It holds my Ipod, mixer and speakers. I’ll add the computer to it later. I zip tied the PVC stand and ran the wires internal to the piping. I notched out some space at the top of the pipe underneath the 90 degree bend for the wires to come back out where it mounts. It also holds my Polar so I can use that when looking at the RPM. Pretty simple and stable.

I took an old aluminum Profile Aero bar exetension, one with the ski bend, turned it over and clamped it to a bar stool cross brace brace. It put the bend parallel to the ground just below the seat. I velcroed all the cords on the leg. This allows me to move it around where ever I want an gives me the seat of the stool to put remote controls, bottles, etc. on. If you need a pic let me know.
