I was cleaning/deleting cookies off my computer and I also accidentally told my computer to delete my visited websites in my browser. So all the sites I use for work and play are now gone (I am not referring to favorites). I am talking about when you click the address of the browser on my internet explorer, all the sites that used to drop down are all gone. How can I restore that? Am I screwed? My system restore function of XP was not turned on so I can’t get it back that way.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance
Did you delete your internet history as well? If not, you can pull up your history and click on the links from there.
Yeha I deleted that too. I don’t know what I was thinking. I was hoping if I deleted some of this stuff my computer would spped up a bit----doh!!!
How comfortable are you with digging around in your registry?
What is the registry? I think I probably need to just let this go unless there’s an easy way to get it back. It’s really not that big of a deal. I just have to re-type all the websites that were listed there and they’ll come back over time.
