Compression socks? T1 or T2

Ive seen both, what are the advantages?

personal preference.

I say go full-retard and put them on at T1. I love riding in my compression socks. Why wouldn’t you want to maximize the benefit?

Never go full-retard. I’m a Lead Farmer Mutha-Fu*ka!!

I hope this is not a hijack, but I have a pair of the zoots and they take some time to get on…I am pretty sure they are the right size but they are a pain to get over the heel, I think this would be VERY frustrating in transition, regardless of T1 or T2. Any tips?

If you put them on in T1 and pee on the bike (like a lot of people do in an IM), then you have to run around in soggy pee socks the rest of the day. That and the fact you could be adding a couple grams to your feet/leg in rotational weight when you pedal. Which I guess would make a small difference but not much. But, wearing them for the bike and run really would be maximizing their use.

T1 pro’s- Chris McDonald T2 pro’s- Stadler, bunch of others.

Go extra “special” retard and wear some of those compression calf sleeves without the socks, even in the swim.
