Howdy,
I am in the market for a Compex, but can't decide on model. Is the extra $400 worth it for the Sport unit?

-Bump-.
really you can use the fitness model. we sell them on our site and PM me for a discount code for STer’s.
no, get the cheaper of the two, I have it and when I get around to using it it works pretty well. Most of the features on the higher end model won’t apply to you. You’ll mainly be using the active recovery mode I’m guessing.
I have the Fitness model, the less expensive version, and have used it for about a year. I really only use the Active recovery.
It’s a great product, and worth the expense. Get some extra pads right away when you order one.
Cool, thanks all!
The difference between the Fitness Trainer & Sport models are as follows:
Fitness Trainer: Recovery, Resistance, Endurance
Sport: Warmup, Recovery, Strength, Explosive Strength, Resistance and Endurance
While the Active Recovery mode is really helpful, don’t discount the benefits from the Strength mode during the off-season and Warmup/Potentiation just before high quality interval sessions & races.
I’m very happy with my Sport unit and got one for my dad to help him with some rehab work. Overall excellent product – either one will help, but make sure to get one and get started with it!

You will be more then happy with the Fitness model, the majority of the time you will only use Active Recovery and sometimes Endurance. Save a few $$ and you will be extremely happy with the Fitness.
