Compartmental Syndrome

I am 6 weeks into the HIM program. Race is in 13 weeks and have had alot of trouble running. I have been aqua jogging no changes. Today I went to sports medicine facility and was tested my pressure was 37 at rest and they said it should be around 10. They are ready to do surgery friday. I have read alot since I found my symptoms matching this condition. They said I’ll be back on the bike in 2 weeks and running in 6. Anyone have any idea how long it may take to get back my running. I was doing around 15 miles a weeks usually a couple of 60 min runs and maybe a 30 minute also. My swimming and biking seem on track just not sure what to expect after being on cruches for a few weeks. I am thinking about just signing up for the aqua bike instead. After thinking back I’ve been having this problem for 10 years at work, but assumed it was from walking alot in hard soled work boots with 1" heel. Then I thought it was shin splints. It would go away when I slowed down or got where I was going. I had no idea.

Any information is greatly appreciated
Thanks for your time

Repo - definitely do a forum search here as I see you are new (button above) as there has been extensive discussions regarding this by both professionals and many people with experiences you will want to read.

I have read some here and on BT aswell as google. I have 3 pages open trying to make an informed decision, but it seems that if I want to run I need the surgery.
I will keep searching thanks for the reccomendation.

I’ve weighed in on a half dozen threads on this forum about this, bottom line is I never had to think twice about doing it. If you want to run again you’ll have to do it.
