Colnago Flight

Been riding a Felt for the last couple of seasons and looking for something…different. Anyone ridden the Colnago TT bike or know if they’re even available yet?

Would be interested to know myself.

Beautiful bike.
What’s the damage$?

that actually looks like a very well thought out bike

down, seat, and stays are bladed

wheel is close to downtube

horiz dropouts

horiz top tube

i like it!

its p4-ish

It doesn’t appear anyone on ST has thrown a leg over the Colnago AND I usually agree with most things jackmott posts so…maybe I’ll make some calls tomorrow. It’s not listed on R & A’s website so I’m assuming it’s not available yet.

its p4-ish

except that it looks good
.

vertical drop outs, slack-ish seat angle, side-entry for the internal cable routing, standard front and rear brake positions … and nobody has shown any data that supports that the wheel close to the downtube and that little indentation provides any benefit …

… and you get to pay Colnago prices for it.

… I’m not terribly impressed.

like a lot of things, you pay for a name.

Looks sharp though…too many word graphics clutters it a bit though

So you’ve ridden one? Because I’d like to get some feedback from someone whose has, not from someone looking at a picture of one. I can do that. But I’ll take it into consideration you’re not impressed

no, i’ve not ridden one … though i’m certain it’s a very nice bike and it is attractive … (i was responding to the “p4-ish” evaluation with which i cannot concur)

Not bad looking but looks like a lot of no name bikes to me.

Saw one of these in person at the multisports expo last week in Cambridge, MA. Personally I thought it looked really, really nice. I’m a bit biased since I ride a Colnago road bike.
If I hadn’t plonked my money down last fall on another brand “C” tri bike, I would have seriously considered this. The guy from the shop who displayed it said $4000 - $4500 “built”.
Whatever built is. I wasn’t able to get into detail as my wife was dragging me away. : )

Just received the May issue of Triathlete magazine and Hi-Tech bikes has it built with SRAM Red and Edge 68 DV clinchers for $7900…ouch
.

Yeah I’ve ridden one…

It looks sick…on closer inspection the build quality/finish is A+

It turns heads, no one else has one…

It rides nice, stiff yet comfortable…but as per most bikes in that price range, the improvement is not exponential for the $ you pay. It doesnt ride twice as well as a bike 1/2 the price, for example.

But if you want something different that shows you have style and rides as well as any TT/tri bike out there, perhaps this is the bike for you.

Thanks for the info.

Wondering if anyone else has now ridden one or is an owner?

Anyone in Colorado seen one in their local bikeshop as I’d like a closer look / test ride ?

Thx.

How steep can it get? Anyone got stack/reach numbers? I sure love my C-50, but Colnago has never been a leader in TT bikes… the “C-50 TT” was basically a road bike with a slightly squashed downtube, made in the same era as the P3. Flight looks like a solid effort, though; just make sure the geometry would support your position, as a lot of those “old school” euro brand TT bikes aren’t built to be ridden at non-UCI steepness.
